What You Will Learn in Class

Classes are hands-on from start to finish. No prior experience needed. You practice on manikins, work through real scenarios, and leave with skills you can actually use under pressure. Every skill is demonstrated first by Kyndra, then practiced by every participant.

  • CPR compressions and rescue breaths for adults, children, and infants
  • How to recognize a cardiac emergency and respond immediately
  • How to locate, turn on, and operate an AED correctly and confidently
  • Choking response for adults, children, and infants
  • Basic First Aid skills including wound care and emergency response (CPR/First Aid class)
  • When to call 911, what to say, and how to coordinate with responders
  • How to stay calm and keep going until professional help arrives

Why In-Person CPR Training Matters

Online CPR courses may satisfy a paperwork checkbox, but they cannot teach you what hands-on practice does. Here is the difference.

In-Person with Vital Skills Solutions

You actually do CPR. You build real muscle memory.

  • Practice real compressions on manikins until the technique clicks
  • Get real-time feedback from a trained instructor on your form and depth
  • Hold and operate an actual AED trainer, not a video animation
  • Practice choking response with a hands-on demonstration
  • Ask questions and get honest answers from an experienced local instructor
  • Leave feeling genuinely confident, not just certified on paper
Online-Only Courses

You watch videos. You cannot practice what you cannot touch.

  • No physical practice on manikins or real equipment
  • No instructor to correct your form or answer your specific questions
  • Skills fade faster without hands-on repetition
  • Not accepted by many Iowa employers, schools, or healthcare organizations
  • You may pass a quiz without ever doing a real compression
The bottom line: Knowing the steps of CPR is very different from being able to do them under pressure. Hands-on practice builds the muscle memory and confidence that a video quiz simply cannot. That is why Kyndra's classes are in-person, every time.
